This Privacy Policy explains how Brent Schoenmakers ("I", "me", or "my") collects, uses, and protects your information when you visit this website (www.brentweb.eu).

Analytics Data

This website uses a self-hosted analytics setup to collect limited, pseudonymised information about how visitors use the site. This includes:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Browser type and version
• Device type and screen resolution
• Referral source (how you found this website)

Analytics are only recorded after you opt in via the cookie banner. The resulting reports are reviewed privately in Metabase and are not exposed on the public website.

Contact Forms & Cost Estimator

When you use the contact form or the project cost estimator on this website, I collect:

• Your name and email address
• Your message, and the project details you provide - budget range and timeline on the business contact form, or scope, timeline, optional company name and notes in the cost estimator

This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry, is sent via Resend (a transactional email provider) to my inbox and to yours as a confirmation, and is not shared with any other third party. Submissions are rate-limited by IP address to prevent abuse; that rate-limit counter is held only in server memory, is never written to disk, and is discarded automatically after a short period of inactivity. A hidden field on both forms helps detect automated spam submissions and contains no personal data.

Cookies

This website uses the following types of cookies:

• Essential Cookies: Required for the website to function properly (e.g. theme preferences)
• Preference Cookies: Two first-party cookies remember how you like to browse - bw-locale stores your chosen language and bw-path stores whether you entered via the business or engineering route, so returning visits skip the entry page. Neither contains personal data, neither is shared, and both expire after one year.
• Analytics Cookies: Consent-gated first-party analytics requests used to understand website usage and improve the experience

• Rate limiting on every form that accepts input, to reduce abuse

• Resend: Used to deliver contact form and cost estimator emails, including the PDF estimate summary you request
• Metabase: Used privately to visualise aggregated website analytics stored in PostgreSQL
